Almost 100 members, partners and guests attended the end of season shoot meal at The Villa, Wrea Green on Friday 11th March to review and celebrate the season and enjoy camaraderie after missing out on the event in 2021. It was a chance for everyone to meet up, swap stories and socialise at the end of a successful 2021/22 shooting season. A fun element was provided by Caricaturist, Chris Knapman who provided some guests with amusing ‘portraits’.

After a 4 course meal the Association Chair Andy Cash and Marsh Manager, Andy Lee presented awards for clay shooting before drawing raffle prizes and holding a charity auction.

The raffle and auction were held in aid of the  Alzheimer’s Society and Ukrainian Crisis Appeal. Thank you to those members and guest organisations who kindly donated gifts and shooting days and to those members who generously contributed to the raffle and auction. A total of £1,550 was raised for our chosen charities.

Thank you also to John Rodgers and his team at The Villa for helping with the organisation of the event and making sure the evening ran smoothly. The meal and venue were excellent and the room was perfect for our guests; we’ve had many positive comments and everyone enjoyed the evening.
